After a drug offense in the summer, the cell phone of a 17-year-old from the district of Gmunden was seized and evaluated. So far, eight suspected drug users have been identified. Several charges have been filed against the now 18-year-old.
After officers of the Vienna customs office seized a mail consignment containing 200 XTC tablets addressed to a then 17-year-old from the district of Gmunden on July 23, 2020, the public prosecutor’s office ordered a house search.
In addition to a tin containing small amounts of herbal cannabis, the 17-year-old’s cell phone was also seized and evaluated. The information found on it justified the suspicion on the passing on and/or the sales of narcotics.
Due to the extensive investigations by officers of the Ebensee and Bad Ischl police stations, eight customers of the now 18-year-old have been identified so far. A total of 15 charges were filed under the Narcotic Substances Act. In addition, the 18-year-old has been charged with making dangerous threats and causing bodily harm.
