Internet drug deal busted in Salzburg

An online drug deal has been busted by German and Salzburg authorities in the state capital. A 26-year-old man had ordered a kilo of amphetamine via the so-called darknet in July. The customs investigation office in Cologne became aware of the package, which led to the investigation. During a house search, officers found other illegal substances, police reported in a press release on Saturday.

“The investigation turned out to be somewhat extensive,” a Salzburg police spokesman told APA. During his interrogation, the 26-year-old also put the detectives on the trail of a 26-year-old. In its dwelling one found four kilos Cannabiskraut. The man did not want to have ordered this but to have cultivated and harvested it himself. The two men were reported to the public prosecutor’s office.
